Here comes City Claus... Yes, Virginia, Santa is just as confused by New York subways as the rest of us are.
This is great photojournalism. Odds are you've never seen any of those jolly Santas in the holiday ads or Christmas cards looking hopelessly lost and frowning at a MAP. It's just one of those things they don't talk about, like
whether he stops off at gas stations to use the rest room, or just sneaks into them in private homes along the way. You can tell the woman sitting next to him is trying hard not to believe in Santa Claus. Can't say I blame her.
Santa works hard for a living, and it probably gets pretty rank inside that woolly costume after a while. Caption: "New York City subway, 1990"
