What IS it about shamrocks and PIGS?
Is it traditional to hit pigs on the head with shamrocks on Saint Patrick´s Day? Probably not. For one thing, the inscription at the bottom says "Happy New Year" in LATVIAN. For another, this card is postmarked 1906. I think
most of the people fleeing Ireland about then were probably going in the other direction. Caption: "Post Card" [in 10 languages]
