Start defrosting your nose. Dinner's almost ready.

Haven't decided on next year's vacation? Consider Mt. Washington, NH, where temperatures plunge to 40 below, and winds reach 231 miles per hour. Teams of meteorologists hunker up there year-round to study what the Weather Almanac calls "the worst weather on earth." Residents of the area are bursting with pride at this distinction, as evidenced by this card, and many more like it.

Still can't decide between THIS and Disneyland? Let's read about the activities in store for you up here. The caption's pretty heavy with weather facts (those meteorologists wrote it), but wait! It does say that on Christmas Day they eat dinner.

Be on the safe side. Try to plan your vacation for Christmas.

On Christmas Day the crew from the Observatory celebrates with the TV station personnel by preparing a satisfying dinner."
